Day 18

Friday 30th April... I think my fellow Project 365-er Adrienne would be pretty interested in my location for today's photo shoot! Can you guess where I was? :p

Day 17

Thursday 29th April. This neat little row of toys means my little man is in bed and no chance of messing things up again! It's quiet time now!

Day 16

Wednesday 28th April. I'm super excited because I have tickets to this band's farewell tour. Powderfinger were a massive favourite of mine all through high school and university. They're Australian musical icons! I'm so glad to be going to see them live one last time!

Day 15

Tuesday 27th April.... Jumping on the clouds bandwagon! Did love how awesome the clouds looked in this shot.

Day 14

Monday 26th April..... Life would be so much easier if I just had a few more of these! :P

Day 13

Sunday 25th April... ANZAC Day. I know the nights are starting to get chilly and I need to search out his flannel rug when I find my other greyhound, Power, curled up on his lounge chair like this!

Day 12

Saturday 24th April..... we headed up to a pretty place called Healsville to their greyhound racing cup as my other half had to work there for the day. I took SO many photos (about 232 in the end I think) and I had a lot of trouble deciding which one I should use as my photo of the day. I couldn't decide between these 5, so they all went in! From top to bottom they are:
1) The pink (#8) in the first race getting ready for his race
2) 100m to go in the first race!
3) The 5 and the 4 fighting it out in R2
4) Some of the beautiful scenery driving home
5) Ditto....it was gorgeous. Beautiful green fields, rows of grapevines, mountains

Such a great day!

Day 11

Friday 23rd April...... taken on the way home from a nearby city...It was blowing a gale and plenty of rain (there's a rainspot on my lens lol) so it's not the best photo! But I do think it looks quite pretty with all the lights

Day 10

Thursday 22nd April.... Some of our books! We both really like to read and we're also both massive hoarders! Thankfully this house has a couple of really awesome built in cupboards with nice wide shelves. Each shelf is stacked 2 back and some are stacked 2 high. And unfortunately... it's full and we're running out of room

Day 9

Wednesday 21st April... Yummy honey mustard chicken, green beans with rice. And Coke. Can't forget the delicious Coke!

Day 8

Tuesday 20th April. My other half is pretty domesticated. He's a fantastic cook. He does the washing, hangs it out and brings it in. He folds clothes. He does the washing up.... Which leads me to this picture. His stacks of clean dishes are legendary! He often uses LOTS of pots and pans and we often have 6 or so for dinner...which makes a lot of washing up! This is a mountain of dishes he washed up Tuesday morning before going away for work for 2 days... So not only did he cook me dinner before he left for that night (I'm not much of a cook), he also cleaned up after himself!

Day 7

I cheat here today and upload 2 images from the same day, Monday 19th April. We went into Melbourne for the day, spending the first half at St Kilda beach where these 2 photos were taken. The first is a Banksia which was growing just near the cafe we ate lunch at and the 2nd is one massive bloody (thankfully dead) jellyfish! I must've been standing about three feet from it for 20 minutes before I even noticed it! There were several washed up on the shore yesterday, each slightly larger than the average dinner plate.

Day 6

Sunday dinner...beef casserole! It simmered for 8hrs in the slow cooker and was absolutely delicious. And the best part of all? I didn't have to cook it!

Day 5

After almost a week of temps around 15 degrees celcius (winter temps!) where we thought that autumn was a no show and winter had arrived straight after summer's departure, today is a beautiful 26 degrees. Warm, sunny, perfect autumn weather! And it's supposed to last all through the next week, so yay!

I stole the idea for today's pic from my fellow Project 365 participant Anna, who posted a gorgeous shot of her pooch Maggie. Rolly, my female greyhound was having a fantastic time in the sun until I came out with some treats - best way to get her to pose prettily, because she'll sit for treats!

Day 4

This was taken Friday the 16th April, but due to some technical issues with my laptop (ah, it's not working. At all) I wasn't able to post it until today. Hopefully I'll get today's pic (Saturday's) up tonight some time. Just have to fight for my computer access now!

New life. The first smile captured on camera of the youngest member of our extended family :) There's nothing quite like a little baby smiling involuntarily when they start to engage with the world and people around them

Day 3

Reading list I compiled on my bedside table. I'm always reading, and often have more than one book on the go at once. The one I'm currently reading in this pile is The Book Thief. I also have a bookmark in All The Pretty Horses which I started reading a few months ago and got distracted, probably by a new book. I'll get back to it at some stage!

Day 2

I headed out to take some pictures of the lake in a wildlife sanctuary near where I live but the light was pretty blah and I didn't really like the way they turned out so I might leave that for a nicer day. Instead I caught a snap of my little man exploring the world - he's loving accompanying me on these trips out of the house looking for the photo of the day.

Day 1

The 3pm V-Line service out of Southern Cross Station. Options are somewhat limited when you have a 20 month old who insists on walking, but doesn't walk very fast, or where you want him to go! We live quite near a train line so we walked down there to see if we could get any snaps for day #1. I also took a couple of the corresponding V-Line service heading to Southern Cross but they were taken when the train was on a bend.

Hey

After a fellow-player on an online game I play posted they were doing a 365 and asked if anyone was interested in joining them, I was keen to sign up. I've done one Project 365 before when I had Hunter and I had planned to start one on January 1st 2010, but it kind of didn't work out. I also got a D-SLR camera for my birthday in February and although I've definitely not been afraid to use it (2500 pics already) I thought that this would help me get out a bit more into the world around me and use it in different ways, rather than just taking pics of my son and of family events. So I guess most of my pictures will be around my local area, or of any day trips we might take.

Let my 2nd Project 365 begin!
